Question:
Is it necessary to include a personal Name and Address Book when executing a new installation of a Notes Client? (SQA000113)
Answer:
Yes. The Notes Shared Installation (File Source) does not contain this file. Nor will it be brought down if the file was included in the shared Installation. When a new installation of the Notes client is created with InstallPump, it is important to put a personal Name and Address Book on the files tab. The NAB does not need to be user specific, but should contain any documents that are necessary to work in the Notes environment. This is a great way to be sure that any customized location or connection documents get out to Notes users. Whithin the configuration section of InstallPump's action: 41 (Notes Install/Configuration), InstallPump will get important information that will be specific to the user (based on their Notes ID), and modify the personal NAB to reflect their personal settings.
